When I started a keto journey, I was sort of sad. I mourned some of my favorite foods and drinks, and quite frankly, I was grumpy. Then I discovered how to modify a few things that I enjoyed and that made my trek much, much better. One was a margarita. The day I figured out this keto-friendly libation, my low-carb world got a little brighter.
Here's how to make it (recipe makes 2):
- Add these items in a blender:
- 2 handfuls of ice
- 1 oz lime juice
- 2 oz pure agave tequila
- 10 drops stevia
- Zest from one lime
- Pulse just until it’s slushie
- Pour into a ice-filled rock or margarita glass, 3/4 full
- Top with sparkling water
- Garnish with lime wedge
