Easy Indoor Activities for Kids

This damn coronavirus! With school closings and self-isolations, it looks like we’re going to be indoors with our kiddos for bit. Many schools are assigning work for students but who are we fooling–we know good and well that our kids are not going to be doing schoolwork for 7 straight hours. Bored kids lead to lots of shenanigans and foolishness. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Thanks to some convos with other moms, I’ve pieced together a schedule to give us a semblance of structure and routine. (Feel free to borrow and lift from it.)

But aside from the learning, this is a great time for us to spend some quality, fun time with our families. I’m not sure when we’ll get this time again, so I intend to make the most of it. My kids can count on lots of cuddles and kisses and dance-offs and craziness. (Oh...they are SO excited. LOL!)

I’ve pulled together a few activities (for boys and girls) that are pretty simple to execute. Some are self-driven, and others require some parental involvement. I’ve divvied them up by a few different categories: Crafting & Science, Family Affair, Food, Mindfulness, and Spa at Home. Let me know which you try or if you try some others that aren’t on the list.
