Who doesn’t love a Pop-Tart? I still remember the first time my kids tried one. They looked at me like I had been holding out on them all along. These homemade Valentine Pop Tarts are a fun, heart-shaped twist on the classic, and they’re surprisingly easy to make.

Flaky, jam-filled, and finished with frosting and sprinkles, they’re perfect for Valentine’s breakfast, dessert, or a sweet afternoon treat.

What You’ll Need

  • Refrigerated pie crust

  • Strawberry jam or preserves

  • Frosting

  • Sprinkles (optional but fun)

  • Heart-shaped cookie cutters

  • Parchment paper

  • Baking sheet

How to Make Them

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Gently unfold the pie crust, leaving it on the paper it comes wrapped in.

  3. Cut out heart shapes using cookie cutters, making sure you have an even number.

  4. Place 1 tablespoon of jam or preserves in the center of one heart.

  5. Top with another heart.

  6. Seal the edges by pressing a fork along the seams.

  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  8. Transfer the hearts to the baking sheet.

  9. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden.

  10. Microwave frosting for 30 seconds, then stir until smooth.

  11. Drizzle frosting over warm hearts and finish with sprinkles, if desired.
