DIY Feminine Wash

Psst. Come closer...closer...your lady parts deserve the best. You are a goddess and your sacred areas are much too precious for the same soap you use to wash your underarms and feet. Your yoni deserves a special cleanser, designed just for her.

It’s not a myth - vaginas are magically self-cleaning, thanks in part to good bacteria (like lactobacilli). This is why there’s no need to ever douche. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, douching can cause an overgrowth of harmful bacteria and lead to bad things for your vajayjay. Your personal self-cleaning oven handles its business through discharge. But your lady parts are made up of more than just what’s inside.

The vulva and areas surrounding the vagina are not self-cleaning. That means it’s up to you to give your secret garden some mild sprucing, especially after working out, sex or a variety of other activities.

I discovered the most wonderful over-the-counter feminine wash a couple years ago - organic, gentle, effective. Apparently the rest of womankind found it, too, because it can’t stay on the shelves. The good news is you can create your own at home pretty easily.

This feminine wash makes great things happen down under:
  • Promotes a healthy pH balance

How it works:
Witch Hazel Rose Water Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Tea Tree Essential Oil Lavender Essential Oil Castile Soap
Witch hazel can help reduce inflammation, soothe skin, and fight bacteria, as well as temporarily relieve itching, discomfort, and irritation. Rose water is a natural moisturizer and a powerful skin soother. It also has cleansing properties. Coconut oil fights bacteria and moisturizes. Tea tree oil fights bacteria and candida. Lavender reduces inflammation and has soothing and anti-bacterial properties. Castile soap gently cleanses without toxins or free radicals. It’s safe for sensitive skin.
How to use:
  1. Put 2-3 pumps in your clean, wet hands. NOTE: Your hands are your best tools. This will not lather like soap.
  2. Spread your folds apart and gently cleanse.
  3. Rinse well.
  4. This is gentle enough to use daily.
